The Detail
Our Approach.
A dome puts the viewer inside a curved surface rather than in front of one, which means brightness, pitch and content all have to hold up from every angle inside the volume, not just a single 'best seat'. It's one of the most structurally demanding formats we build, and one of the most memorable when it's built right. Starting at 1.8mm pixel pitch with resolutions from 4K to 8K, any size is possible — half domes and full 360-degree domes are both designed and manufactured to order. The structural engineering has to resolve before a single panel is manufactured, since a hemisphere leaves no room to adjust the geometry once the frame is built, and content has to be authored specifically for a curved interior surface rather than remapped from a flat source.
