For Channel 4's Racing studio, Elport developed set concepts and technical designs combining LED and LCD video walls with dynamic lighting to support live race-day broadcasts.
Channel 4's Racing coverage needed a studio set that could keep pace with the fast-moving, visually rich world of live horse racing broadcasting.
For this 2014 project, Elport provided design consultancy for the Channel 4 Racing studio, developing sketches, renders and technical insight to help shape the set before it reached the studio floor. This early-stage design work allowed the production team to visualise camera lines, screen placement and lighting treatment ahead of the build.
The proposed set drew on Elport's core display and lighting technologies — LED and LCD video wall systems paired with DMX-controlled lighting — to give the studio the flexibility to present race-day analysis, presenter segments and live coverage with a clean, contemporary broadcast look.
While the published material focuses on the design and planning stage, it reflects the same technical foundation Elport has since built out across its broadcast video wall and DMX lighting installations.
