Elport built a 7m diameter, 5m high, 360-degree LED cylinder — the Vortex — at 1.9mm pixel pitch with automatic LED doors, used to stage 'The Rhythm of the Ocean' at Bellver Blue Tech Zone in Benicàssim, Spain.

Bellver Blue Tech Zone, a laboratory on the Benicàssim coast where technology, science, creativity and digital culture intersect, chose Elport's Vortex — a 360-degree walk-in LED environment — as the centrepiece for its new installation, 'The Rhythm of the Ocean'.

The Vortex is a 7m diameter, 5m high LED cylinder built at a 1.9mm pixel pitch with automatic LED doors, delivering a seamless, floor-to-ceiling 360-degree visual environment capable of pushing 66 million pixels of high-definition digital art. Because the room completely wraps around the viewer, visitors step inside to inhabit an abstract oceanic universe for eight minutes — a journey that begins with a profound calm, like standing on the ocean floor looking up toward the surface, before colour and movement build into a genuinely enveloping crescendo.

Created by visual art studio Desilence (Tatiana Halbach and Søren Christensen), with an underwater soundscape by electronic music pioneer Suzanne Ciani synchronised directly to the visuals, the installation gave visitors — in curator Antònia Folguera's words — 'the closest thing to being in virtual reality without wearing glasses.' Opened in December 2025, it stands as one of the clearest demonstrations yet of what the Vortex format was built to do.
