A seamless 6m by 2m LED video wall became the visual centrepiece of e.tv's new Johannesburg studio, giving South Africa's largest independent channel a bold on-air presence.
e.tv, South Africa's largest independent television channel, wanted its brand new Johannesburg studios to open with screen technology that matched the scale of the channel itself.
Elport answered the brief with a seamless, state-of-the-art LED video wall built to sit at the very heart of the space. Rather than a conventional backdrop, the wall was designed to be the studio's defining visual feature from day one.
The installation measures 6m x 2m and uses 1.2mm micro-pitch LED screen technology, delivering the fine pixel density needed for close-up broadcast viewing. The display is driven by six Nova MTCR600LEd controllers alongside a VF2000 Videow3 processor, giving the production team reliable, broadcast-grade control over the wall's output.
The result is a video wall that takes pride of place as the centrepiece of e.tv's new studios, giving South Africa's largest independent channel a striking, technically robust backdrop built for daily broadcast use.
