LoveWorld TV Studio London
Elport designed a DMX-controlled LED lighting system for LoveWorld TV Studio London's news set, letting production teams instantly change looks between bulletins, current affairs and sport.
LoveWorld TV Studio London needed a new look for its news set, one flexible enough to serve everything the studio produces in a single day: main news bulletins, current affairs coverage and sport programming, each with different camera positions, guests and set requirements. With a busy production schedule and little time between shows, the brief called for a solution that could change without pulling the set apart between segments.
Elport dmg designed and manufactured DMX Flex, a flexible LED strip lighting product paired with a fully integrated DMX control system, built directly into the studio and set lighting. Rather than requiring physical set changes, the system lets colours and lighting levels across the whole set and lighting grid be adjusted at the touch of a button.
That flexibility gives the production team the ability to reset the look of the set for a new segment or guest almost instantly, keeping the show moving through a demanding daily schedule. It's a clear example of how DMX-controlled LED lighting can do the work that would otherwise fall to a physical set rebuild.
