The Voice UK
Elport's flexible AV Flex LED strip wrapped The Voice UK's studio in continuous curves of light, giving the set a fluid, futuristic glow across 1000 metres of bespoke LED.
Studio sets for a prime-time singing competition need a lighting system that can bend, curve and reshape itself around cameras, performers and a constantly changing show format — not a fixed, flat backdrop. For The Voice UK, that meant finding an LED product flexible enough to be built directly into the physical architecture of the set.
Elport supplied and installed 1000 metres of AV Flex, its own flexible video LED strip product, across The Voice UK's studio set. Because AV Flex is flexible rather than rigid, it could be shaped around curves, columns and set geometry that a conventional flat LED panel could not follow, giving the design team freedom to build light directly into the structure of the set rather than around it.
Elport designed, manufactured and controlled the entire system in-house, from the LED strip itself through to the control platform running it — meaning the studio gained a fully bespoke, end-to-end lighting solution rather than an off-the-shelf product adapted to fit.
At 1000 metres, it's one of the largest single deployments of Elport's AV Flex product, and a clear example of how flexible LED technology can turn a broadcast set into an immersive lighting environment rather than a static backdrop.
