Inside TRT World's Nexus studio in Fitzrovia, London, bespoke DMX-controlled LED sculptures and ten professional monitors combine to give the international news broadcaster a striking, technology-led on-air presence.
TRT World, the 24-hour international English-language news organisation, needed a studio set for its Nexus programme that could hold its own visually against a rolling, always-on news format — a set that looked distinctive on air, not just functional.
The centrepiece of the solution was a set of specialist, bespoke DMX LED sculptures, purpose-built for the Nexus set at TRT World's studio in Fitzrovia, London. These freeform LED elements gave the set a sculptural, technology-forward identity rather than a conventional flat screen backdrop, powered and driven by Elport's own DMX power/data processor controller to keep the lighting synchronised and precisely controllable.
Alongside the LED sculptures, the studio was fitted with ten professional monitors in various sizes, giving the production flexibility to display live feeds, graphics and news content across the set. The whole system — LED sculptures, monitors and studio AV — was brought together under Crestron control, giving the production team a single, integrated way to run the set during live broadcasts.
The result is a studio identity built specifically for a 24-hour global news operation: a set that combines bespoke LED engineering with broadcast-grade monitor and control technology to give TRT World's Nexus programme a visual signature of its own.
