Bonhams' Great Eight Phantoms exhibition brought together eight of the most historically significant Rolls-Royce Phantoms ever made, including the long-awaited New Phantom, for display at the international flagship sales room on London's New Bond Street. A display of that stature needed graphics and lighting that matched the calibre of the cars themselves.

Elport supplied freestanding, dimmable light boxes, each 2000mm x 2000mm and 135mm deep, built with a powder coated aluminium frame. Using solid-state LED lighting rather than older backlighting technology, the light boxes stay compact while still delivering high brightness levels and, crucially, perfectly even light distribution across the large graphic surface, essential for showcasing interchangeable graphics without hotspots or shadowing.

The dimmable, freestanding design meant the light boxes could be positioned around the exhibition space without being tied to fixed power or structural points, giving Bonhams a flexible way to frame each of the eight Phantoms with clean, gallery-standard lighting fit for an internationally significant sale.
